It doesn’t matter the industry or organization there is always a focus on retaining the right employees. Research shows that retention is influenced by several factors including the manager, organization, and intrinsic motivation of the employee. Specifically in the RV industry there is a large amount of turnover, especially in key roles such as Service Technicians and Sales Associates. This causes unwanted costs, decreased skill sets, and long-term innovation initiatives.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the contributing factors to retention in the RV industry specifically looking at Bish’s RV using a situational questionnaire asking experience related questions to seek insight into how employees view responsible parties for situations that cause employees to leave organizations. Additionally, being able to pull in exit surveys from employees who have left Bish’s RV. This presentation will focus on how Bish’s RV and the RV industry can look at strategies to retain the right employees for a longer period.
