Signs of Christ

As we look ahead to the First Sunday of Advent (Year C), we hear Jesus explaining to his disciples that the Son of Man will come again, and when he does, "There will be signs." We read of clamour in the skies and seas, of the need to stay awake and the importance of prayer.

Miss Green impressed the children with her knowledge of common signs from Guildford High Street - she knew exactly what children were describing and what each organisation stood for. However, more importantly, Miss Green could also see the signs that the season of Advent is upon us once again: purple prayer clothes, Advent wreaths and a focus on waiting and preparation.

It is important that we notice with our children the changes and signs around us at this time of year.
