Supported lodgings Scheme

Supported Lodgings is when a young person lives with someone that offers support and guidance.

The owner of the home will help the young person to develop life skills and support them to prepare for living on their own.

This could include:

It might be helping them catch a bus to college on their own, registering with a GP or opening a bank account. Some young people may need some guidance on making sensible choices about their future. It's good to have someone there to talk to. People who host a young person get a lot out of it too!

Supported Lodgings is giving a young person who is moving out of care a chance to learn the skills they need to live on their own with the skills and knowledge we all need. Â
