Looking for the "Insert Stuff" button, but can't find it?

Where can you insert a video note?

You can record and insert a video note in a number of places throughout Brightspace. Try using it in Content, Discussions, Announcements, and even when grading and providing feedback to learners.

What else should you know about video notes?

It's possible to record a video that's up to 30 minutes long, but we'd recommend keeping your video notes on the shorter side. Note that it's not possible to edit video notes in Brightspace.

How to insert a video note:

  1. Click the "Insert Stuff" button in the text editor

  2. Choose "Add Video Note"

  3. Use the buttons on the next screen to start/stop your recording

  4. Click Next after recording

  5. Give your video note a title (so that you can find it again if you'd like to use the same video elsewhere) and click Next

  6. Finally, click Insert
