Leadership is a word that gets thrown around and seems underdefined. There are a lot of ways to define leadership and express leadership. Before coming back to teaching I was the General Manager of Chick-fil-A in Mount Pleasant. As the General Manager I needed to develop a way to discuss leadership, develop leaders, and be successful. In this session we will discuss the HEART of leadership and the Four Disciplines of Execution.

"The crisis in Christian preaching, which we have experienced in growing proportions for a century, is based in no small part on the fact that the Christian answers have ignored man's questions; they were and remain right, but because they were not developed from and within the question, they remain ineffective. Hence to question along with man who seeks is an indispensable part of preaching itself, because only in this way can the Word become an Answer." Josef Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI) here invites teachers of the Christian faith to begin not from the perfect clarity of our answers but from the confused but sincere questioning of those who are listening to us. How can "questioning along with man who seeks" become a methodology of teaching theology? Ratzinger also wrote "The path to God...does not lead by way of pure reflection but, rather, through encounter..." What does this mean for the teacher of theology, called not to share content but a PERSON?
