A Message from Administration

Dear St. Albert Families,

My name is Loren Cataldo and I am so excited to introduce myself as one of the new school counselors! I will be working primarily with third grade and below, but am here to help support all students and families. I am beyond grateful for the warm welcome and kindness that has been shown to me, and feel honored to be joining such a wonderful community.

I want to take a moment to share a few things about myself. I am a Jupiter, FL native and travel there as often as I can to see my family and friends. I attended the University of Kentucky where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications. After graduating, I moved to Nashville, TN and attended Lipscomb University, where I received my master's degree in school counseling. I worked as a school counselor for three years at Lipscomb Academy Lower School. I recently relocated from Nashville to Louisville, and am in the thick of wedding planning with my fiance, who is a native of Louisville. We are getting married in Florida this February.

I look forward to partnering with you as we grow your child's heart and mind. We are going to do GREAT things this year!

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. My email is lcataldo@stalbert.org

Beach Volleyball Tournament

Our 8th graders have an amazing opportunity to embark on an East Coast Expedition trip of a lifetime. Students will tour Washington D.C., Gettysburg, and New York City. This is the third year we are taking students on a trip of this scale. We are hopeful that our community will help us make the trip affordable for all who would like to travel by participating and supporting our fundraising efforts.

Our Beach Volleyball Tournament fundraiser will be on September 30, 2023. It will be a day of fun at J-town Beach! We are looking for support in several ways: enter a team to play in the tournament, pencil it in on your calendar to come out for the day to enjoy good company and good food and order an event t-shirt which students can also wear on Spirit Wear days at school!

Please find the team registration link . There will be two divisions of play, "Competitive" and “Family Fun". Below you will find information on each division. The Competitive Division: Must be 9th Grade or older. This is for teams of people who would fall into the C, B, or A category of play. This is a double-elimination tournament. TEAMS SIGNED UP FOR THIS DIVISION MUST BE CO-ED. The Family Fun Division: For 12 years old and up. This is for kids and people who are just looking for fun and to have a great time. This is a double-elimination tournament. Please note some kids' teams might not be co-ed. ADULT TEAMS MUST BE CO-ED.

If you send your child to Saint Albert the Great School, please send in cash or check for your teams into the office for Eryn Wicinski. Please write in the memo "8th grade volleyball registration" and include your team name with payment. If you know someone who wishes to play in this tournament and is not a member of Saint Albert the Great Parish School, please have them email erynreck@aol.com.

The St. Albert Men's Fellowship

Looking for brotherhood and a strong sense of community? The St. Albert Men's Fellowship is just for you!

The idea for the fellowship came about in 2022, when several parishioners began to get together informally to share ideas, opportunities,  and to sharpen one another in different ways. Over the year, the group has grown, and we're excited to formalize our gatherings at St. Albert, inviting all our parish brothers to come meet other like-minded men interested in forming strong friendships, deepening their faith, and participating in service. "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 17:17

Join the Fellowship on Thursday, September 28th at 7:30pm in the Cafeteria for the first social gathering. The group will be brainstorming ideas for future social gatherings and ways to get involved in parish life. If interested in attending, please click the link to fill out the form and tell us more about yourself. If you have any questions, please contact Nick Norcia at NLNorcia@gmail.com
