10 Week- October 19, 2023
A Message from Administration
After coming back from Conferences and Fall Break, our school is a “buzz” with all of the fun things going on.
Trunk or Treat is coming up Saturday! (6:00-9:00) Thank you to our PTO for putting on this fun event!
We are so excited to let you know that our new counselors, Julie Kane and Loren Cataldo, have planned Red Ribbon Week for next week, October 23 - 27. We are so excited that they have organized fun activities for a week-long celebration. Our counselors will be visiting classrooms throughout the week. Grades Preschool-3 will be focusing on how to make healthy choices like eating good foods, getting enough rest, and having a positive mindset. Grades 4-8 will also have the same focus with the addition of pledging their commitment to be drug-free.
Our administration and counselors will also be hosting “Coffee and Conversations” Monday, October 23 and Tuesday, October 24 (8:00-9:15). We are looking forward to this time to meet with and listen to our parents that have signed up and will be attending. RSVP is required as space is limited.
Thank you to our PTO for providing dinner for all of the teachers during PTS Conferences, thank you to all of our teachers and assistants for preparing for, and working the long hours of PTS Conferences, and thank you to all of our parents for attending PTS Conferences. We are thankful for each of you, and acknowledge that it takes each one of us working together to provide the excellent education that St. Albert offers each student.

Compromised Facebook Accounts
We have had an uptick in spammers on our various Facebook pages & groups recently. Some activity is nearly impossible to prevent on our public pages, but we know several parents have recently had accounts that were hacked which can affect our private groups.
If your Facebook account has been hacked and you still have access to it, please remove yourself immediately from ALL St. Albert affiliated pages and groups. This includes, but not limited to, St. Albert Parents & Family, class specific groups, SAAM, St. Albert Mama Swap, Sprouts, etc. If you do not have access to your account, please contact Janelle Richardson at jrichardson@stalbert.org so she can remove you. Once your account has been recovered or a new account has been set up, you can request to be added back into all the groups. We work hard to keep our Facebook pages and groups as safe and secure as possible for our current school families. Thank you for your cooperation.
You can also add our digital school calendar to your phone so you have the latest school dates at your fingertips. To add our Google Calendar, click HERE and then select the +Google Calendar in the bottom right corner.

Coffee & Conversations is back by popular demand! We will be meeting in the Sacred Heart Center (small house located across from the cafeteria & parking lot).
We ask that parents RSVP AND fill out a quick anonymous survey using the links below. Even if you cannot attend a session, we would still appreciate you filling out the survey.
To encourage discussion and engagement in a small group setting, we are only taking 22 parents per session. We kindly ask that only one parent per family sign up and to only sign up for one session. Coffee will be provided. This is a parents only event.

Red Ribbon Week
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Next week, we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week October 23-27th . This week began in response to the murder of DEA agent Enrique Camarena. Parents and youth began wearing red ribbons as a symbol of their commitment to raise awareness of the devastating effects drugs have on people. The movement has grown to be a week-long celebration where students pledge their commitment to being drug-free. Please note that students in grades Preschool-3rd will only receive information on how to make healthy choices like eating good foods, getting enough rest, having a positive mindset, etc.
To help celebrate our commitment to healthy minds and bodies, we are participating in fun daily activities. Please join us in the following dress-up days:
10/23 MONDAY: HATS OFF TO BEING DRUG FREE! (Wear a fun hat with your uniform)
10/24 TUESDAY: SOCK IT TO DRUGS! (Wear mismatched or crazy socks)
10/25 WEDNESDAY: TEAM UP AGAINST DRUGS (Wear a team jersey, t-shirt, or sweatshirt with your uniform bottoms)

St. Albert Men's Fellowship
Looking for brotherhood and a strong sense of community? The St. Albert Men's Fellowship is just for you! The idea for the fellowship came about in 2022, when several parishioners began to get together informally to share ideas, opportunities and to sharpen one another in different ways. Over the year, the group has grown, and we're excited to formalize our gatherings at St. Albert, inviting all our parish brothers to come meet other like-minded men interested in forming strong friendships, deepening their faith, and participating in service. "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 17:17
Join the Fellowship on Thursday, October 26th at 7:30pm in the Cafeteria for pizza, drinks, and some NFL (Bills vs. Buccaneers) on the TV! The group will be brainstorming ideas for future social gatherings and ways to get involved in parish life. If interested in attending, please click the link to fill out the form and tell us more about yourself. If you have any questions, please contact Nick Norcia at NLNorcia@gmail.com
