14 Week- November 16, 2023

A Message from Administration

Dear St. Albert Families,

With only one week until Thanksgiving, this is a special time for us as Catholics and Christians. We hit pause in our busy lives and take time to reflect on our many blessings, acknowledge these blessings and say “thank you” to our family, our friends and our God. Since Eucharist means Thanksgiving, one of the very special ways to do this is to attend Mass and receive our Lord, Jesus, in the Eucharist.

I want to include a special thanks for the gift of each of you here as members of our St. Albert family. Thank you for entrusting your special treasure, your children, to our care and thank you also for the generous gift of your time to help with all the things that make St. Albert great.

May your blessings fill you with joy this Thanksgiving making many happy memories while spending time with your families!

Blessings,

Debbie Abbott

Assistant Principal

Reminder About Deliveries

In an effort to teach our students about being accountable for their own belongings as well as to limit the number of visitors to the school during the day and effectively monitor those visitors coming into the school, we have a policy that does NOT allow for student deliveries. Parents, please do not bring items (lunches, homework, coats/clothing, presentations, papers, Chromebooks, etc.) to school to drop off for your child/children. Our main office staff have been instructed not to accept those deliveries. Thank you for your cooperation with these efforts.

A few exceptions: eyeglasses, medication, or lunches when the cafeteria is closed.

Please remember to always keep an eye on the daily forecast, as the temperature is changing and the students begin to wear heavier coats.

Reminder About Illnesses

Please be mindful of the school-wide policy regarding illness. We ask that your child be fever/vomit/symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to school.

Archdiocesan Survey Ends Saturday

This year, during Discover Catholic Schools Week: Nov. 12-18, we will be administering a Catholic Identity Program Effectiveness survey to parents/guardians, faculty/staff, and our students (grades 5-8). We are committed to continuous school improvement and rely on the feedback of our school community to ensure this commitment leads to the further growth of our program. Next week, you will receive a link to the survey through which you will be asked to provide feedback on our program effectiveness. We thank you in advance for your full participation. Please click the above link to respond.

Need ideas on what to gift your favorite St. Albert teachers and staff for Christmas?

The PTO has you covered. We are collecting money that will be divided out among our outstanding teachers and school staff for the holidays.

Instead of receiving small gifts, each teacher and the school staff will receive a substantial monetary gift that they can spend as they please. They really enjoy receiving these monetary gifts during Christmastime.

You can send your check (made out to the St. Albert PTO) to the school office in an envelope marked: “PTO Teacher & School Staff Christmas Collection”. Deadline is Friday, Dec.8th or you may contribute online using the link until December 4th.

St. Albert Men's Fellowship

Looking for brotherhood and a strong sense of community? The St. Albert Men's Fellowship is just for you! The idea for the fellowship came about in 2022, when several parishioners began to get together informally to share ideas, opportunities and to sharpen one another in different ways. Over the year, the group has grown, and we're excited to formalize our gatherings at St. Albert, inviting all our parish brothers to come meet other like-minded men interested in forming strong friendships, deepening their faith, and participating in service. "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 17:17

Join the Fellowship on Thursday, November 30th at 7:30pm in the Cafeteria for pizza, drinks, and some NFL (Seahawks vs. Cowboys) on the TV! The group will be providing an update on initial plans & brainstorming ideas to get involved in parish life. If interested in attending, please click the link to fill out the form (https://share.hsforms.com/1UGo6tc_4TNCgtkg4NjwcVgpyaxe) and tell us more about yourself. If you have any questions, please contact Nick Norcia at NLNorcia@gmail.com.
