**Process use files found on shared drive at Technical Services\Customer Files\ZeroTouch Resources**
This guide will show how to remove a large number of devices from the Zero-Touch portal simultaneously. You can expect to learn how to prepare a CSV file with the specific device identifiers, upload it to the portal to initiate the de-registration, and finally, verify that the devices have been successfully removed from the system.
Before proceeding, ensure you have the following:
Portal Access: You must have valid credentials with the necessary permissions to access and manage devices in the Zero-Touch reseller and customer config portals.

Credentials
Email: zt.admin@sstid.com
Password: Mdm4Life@@
Device Identifiers: Be sure to identify if the device being deregistered consists of IMEIs or Serial Numbers
Cellular = IMEI
Non Cellular = Serial
CSV Editor: Create a spreadsheet application capable of editing and saving files in CSV (Comma-Separated Values) format (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc). It is recommended to use the premade google sheet that is located here as well as on the top of the page.
Proceed to the "Preparing the CSV File" section.
If not using the premade template, follow step 1, otherwise skip to step 2.
Open your preferred spreadsheet application and create a new file.
Create the CSV file using the following template:
Create Column Headers:
Column A: modemtype
Column B: modemid
Column C: serial
Column D: model
Column E: manufacturer
Column F: profiletype
Column G: owner
Column H: ordernumber
Column I: preprovisioningtoken
Column J: attesteddeviceid
In the columns, list the IMEI, Serial Number, or MEID of each device you wish to de-register. Each identifier should be in its own row.
Set the Owner Value: In the owner column, enter the number 0 for each device listed. This value instructs the portal to de-register the device.
Reference the CSV file setup pictures below
Save the file in CSV format.

Proceed to the "Uploading the CSV File to the Zero-Touch Portal" section.
Open a web browser (incognito) and navigate to the Zero-Touch reseller portal.
In the left-hand navigation panel, click on Devices.
In the top right of the "Registered Devices" table, click the "+ Add device" button and select the "CSV upload" option.
Select "browse your computer"
Upload the your CSV file:
The portal will begin to process the file.
Proceed to the "Verifying De-registration" section.
After the upload is complete, the portal will display a notification. Review this information to see if there were any errors during processing.
To confirm that the devices have been de-registered, use the search bar on the Devices page. Search for a few of the device identifiers from your CSV file.
If the de-registration was successful, the devices will no longer appear in the search results.
The De-registration process is complete
Ensure your CSV file is not excessively large. The portal has a size limit, which is typically around 50 MB.
Double-check that your CSV file is formatted correctly. The most common errors are incorrect column headers or invalid data.
