Delta - FX9600

**All files used for RFID Reader staging for the FX9600s at Delta are located at: Strategic\Technical Services\Customer Files\Delta\REX\FX9600**

1. Connect FX to the network switch in staging room

2. All lights will be amber when turned on. When device is online, the light will be solid green

3. Open command prompt and ping the friendly Mac name found on the side of the FX (Or obtain IP address from IT through the DHCP Server allocations)

4. Get the IP address from ping/IT and put IP address on Browser URL

5. UserName: admin Password: change

6. If current firmware is above 3.8.22, or 3.21.21 then run the appropriate downgrade firmware downgrades, making sure to check 'upgrade all partitions'

**You must factory reset/Enterprise reset the device through the UI after each downgrade; see below**

If current firmware is 3.8.22-3.21.20; use -Build-193.10.15-intermittent-below 3.8.22

If current firmware is 3.21.21 or higher; use-FXSeries-93.21.11-Downgrade-below-3.21.21

9.  After getting device below 3.8.22, run the 3.0.35 Firmware downgrade, this will ready the device for Delta's engineering OS

10. Enterprise reset the device after the downgrade to 3.0.35

11. Finally - load the custom approved os (currently 193.7.19) located in the files

While waiting for device to load firmware, Scan all serials , Mac Address, Mac Friendly and Asset Tag into Work Order. Add to REX and check the Zebra Warranty Check Date

12. Log back into the console and do one final Factory reset/Enterprise reset from the shutdown screen

13. Log back into console to confirm that device is communicating, and firmware still maintained. Log out.

14. Unplug device and place in box

15. Place Asset Tag under the zebra label on device and box (need photo)
