According to our Director of Curriculum, "The program philosophy provides a unifying framework that justifies and gives direction to discipline based instruction". This year, the technology department has been tasked with writing our district PK-12 Tech Ed curriculum. We started this process by authoring our content philosophy. Myself and three other representatives from the district collaborated on this statement that will be published for all stakeholders.
As our lives and our classrooms become more digital, it has become necessary to also adjust our classrooms to meet this need. To assist our teachers in setting up their digital classrooms for maximum success. I worked in collaboration with our tech department and administration to prepare this beginning of the year checklist. Teachers used this checklist to guide their classroom set-up prior to students' arrival.
The document below was created and shared collaboratively with our Tech Council mid year. The council was tasked with developing some possible Schoology implementation expectations that will be employed k-12. The goal of these expectations is to further contribute to our district's goal of the comprehensive use of technology to support digital age education for all students. I was excited about this particular project because the council consisting of various staff members across three buildings were able to collaborate on this document asynchronously without the need for a formal meeting due to it's collaborative nature. The document embedded below does not display individual contributor's comments, but if you click in the top right corner to open this document in a new tab, you will be able to view all contributions made by team members.
