Please complete the following activities with your child. These activities can be completed throughout the week at your own pace.
Expressive Language: Using the pictures of the objects from the story (see below), have your child tell you what they see (ie: I see a lamp). If your child has difficulty saying the whole sentence, you can say it for them first and see if they will repeat it. If they don't repeat it, it's okay.
Receptive Language: Name each object and ask your child to touch the picture (ie: "Touch chair"). If they don't touch it, gently move their hand to touch the picture.
Extension Activity: Walk through your home with your child and name some of the different objects in each room. After you name an object, tell your child where you find each item (ie: The bed is in the bedroom or the table is in the kitchen).
