Foundation Subjects
Foundation Subjects
Your GCSE's will give you a broad base and general knowledge from which to specialise at A level. They will provide you with a foundation on which to build skills and experience. Some of you may have an idea about what you want to do in the future, in which case it is worth thinking about what the most relevant GCSE subjects are for that career path. Others of you will still be unsure about your future career path and if you are one of these students then you should choose a broad range of subjects that will allow you to keep your options open.

For your Foundation or 'option' subjects you will get 3 hours per week per subject for two years alongside your other core and Ebacc subjects, in total this means that most of you only study 8 GCSE’s – except triple scientists who will study 9
