Course Content

The course covers the following areas of mathematics:

Number, Algebra, Ratio and Proportion, Geometry, Probability and Statistics

Students will be expected to;

Skills Developed

Lessons will focus on conceptual understanding of the key topics, problem solving and frequent

opportunities to develop calculation skills. Students are expected to take some responsibility for their own progress and show resilience and perseverance when tackling problems.

Assessment

3 written papers of equal weighting, 1 non-calculator and 2 calculator.

Two tiers are available, Foundation (grades 1 to 5) and Higher (grades 4 to 9).
