The Spencer School District counselors teach classroom lessons to all grade levels throughout the school year. Content includes lessons on stress management, mental health and wellness, choices and decision making, relationship development, future career planning and more. All areas follow content recommendations from the ASCA (American School Counselor Association) Model and the WI SEL (Social Emotional Learning) Model.

The Spencer Middle School counselor will teach classroom lessons in all middle school classrooms on a rotational basis incorporating social emotional concepts appropriate to middle school age student's development.

The Spencer High School counselor will teach classroom lessons to all high school students on a rotational basis incorporating career and life readiness skills, career planning, communication and relationship building skills and other social emotional development content appropriate to high school age student's development.
