Snickerdoodles

1/2 cup butter]

1/2 cup shortening

1 1/2 cup sugar

2 @ egg

2 3/4 cup flour

2 tsp. cream of tartar

1 tsp. soda

1/4 tsp. salt

2 Tbsp. cinnamon

2 Tbsp. sugar

Heat oven to 400 deg. Mix thoroughly butter, shortening, sugar, and eggs. Blend in flour and cream of tartar, soda, salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Mix 2 Tbsp. sugar and cinnamon; roll balls in mixture. Place 2 " apart on cookie sheet. Bake 8 min. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Makes 6 dozen cookies.
