Brown Sugar Lollipop Cookies

1 cup soft shortening

2 cups brown sugar, packed

2 @ eggs

1/2 cup sour milk

3 1/2 cup flour

1 tsp. soda

1 tsp. salt

1 cup shortening

1 cup SHOTENING


Mix first 3 ingredients. Stir in milk. Sift together and stir in flour, soda , and salt. Chill 1 hour. With flour on hands; roll into small balls. Place on cookie sheet insert stick and flatten with glass. Be careful not to press to hard whre stick is in dough. Bake at 400 deg. for 8-10 min.at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 min. Makes 6 dozen.

FROSTING; 2 egg whites, 2 cups powder sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla or almond flavoring, 1 1/2 Tbs. water. Beat egg whites stiff. Add sugar and flavoring gradually. Add water slowly as you beat. It will look like thick enamel paint. Frost cookies with pastry brush. When frosting is completely dry paint faces with food coloring.
