In this elective, students will develop their skills as musicians through a variety of practical and creative music-making activities. They will focus on both solo and group performance, selecting an instrument (or voice) to rehearse, improvise, compose, and perform music for different audiences. Students will explore and analyse music from a range of contemporary and historical styles, including music by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, while deepening their understanding of music elements and structure. The subject encourages personal expression, collaboration, and musical growth.
