Digital Technology

Course Description

Students will learn about a range of hardware and software, and progress to an understanding of how data is transmitted between components within a system, and how the hardware and software interact to form networks. Students learn how data is represented for use by digital systems, and will be able to complete simple programming. Students will explore the use of development (software to develop games or programs) and will write programs or lines of code. Website design may also be incorporated, using HTML or website creation tools. Students will learn skills in using digital systems to interact safely by using appropriate technical and social protocols.
