In this elective, students will explore both painting and printmaking as expressive visual art forms. They will experiment with colour, composition, layering, and texture while using materials such as acrylic paint, watercolour, and various printmaking tools. Through guided projects, students will create artworks that reflect personal ideas, explore themes, and respond to the styles of historical and contemporary artists. A focus on planning, experimentation, and reflection will support students in developing their own visual voice and technical skill.
