Richard Willis knew music was the key to success; his life’s trajectory changed because of his love and commitment to music, and he loved developing that same love of music in others as a musician and educator. He served as a music teacher and high school band director in Stow-Munroe Falls Public Schools from 1967-1980; he didn’t expect every student to pursue a career in music, but he knew that a music-filled life was a life worth living and faithfully instilled this belief into every student who walked through his classroom door.
