About The Scholarship:
With an exceptional aptitude and ear for music shown at an early age, Dorothy L. Kistler throughout her lifetime shared her gift with family and friends and instilled a love and appreciation for music in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
This scholarship is presented in her memory. This scholarship recipient will be selected by music teachers upon the following criteria:
The recipient must have demonstrated superior talent in music, and intends to pursue music as a career (as a musician, teacher or music related position.)
The scholarship is to go to a post secondary institution that the student will attend in furtherance of such pursuit. Financial need should be a consideration.
