This scholarship honors Dr. Leo “Doc” Kline and his wife, Barbara, whose lives together reflected a shared devotion to family, community, and the growth of Stow’s youth.
“Doc” spent 55 years caring for animals and their owners as a dedicated veterinarian, decades of coaching sports, and believed the best way to build a community was by investing in its youth. Barbara worked tirelessly beside him — helping to create the Stow Youth Baseball (SYB) Hall and Field complex, volunteering countless hours in support of local programs, and giving her time and heart to every child and family she touched.
Together, they left a legacy of service, kindness, and commitment to others. This scholarship continues their lifelong work of giving young people the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve their dreams.
