This qualification is for students who have an interest in music and are keen to develop skills as a musician or producer with the aim to perform, use music technology and be involved with live music events. Certificate II in Music provides students with the foundation knowledge and skills required for entry into VCE VET Music and the music industry.
The elective units in the program allow students to specialise in an area of interest from preparing for performances, stage craft skills, mixing live sound or developing ensemble skills for playing music. Students will also develop and apply musical ideas and listening skills and play music on their chosen instruments from notation and tablature.
