Certificate II in Music

The elective units in the program allow students to specialise in an area of interest from preparing for performances, stage craft skills, mixing live sound or developing ensemble skills for playing music. Students will also develop and apply musical ideas and listening skills and play music on their chosen instruments from notation and tablature.

• Develop and apply creative arts industry knowledge

• Develop skills to play or sing music

• Develop ensemble skills to perform simple musical parts

• Play or sing simple musical pieces

• Develop ensemble skills for playing or singing music

• Work effectively in the music industry

• Assist with sound recording

KEY SKILLS:

Students should experience an introduction into recording

and sound engineering in a context that supports

developing music performance and stagecraft skills.

ASSESSMENT:

Each module is graded competent or not yet competent.
