Racing is getting close! After 196 laps P2 was this close.
Everyone found their way to the podium!
More 1/32 testing with Jeff and Pat! Andy is getting faster. Bob has just one more of his 3 cars to dial in! Pat is also right in there racing a ZoMaxx car! The Modified race is getting REALLY close!
1/32 Testing continues in preparation for January's 5 hour race!
Andy is holding his own. Bob has one fast Modified car. Dan and Paul are getting faster. Butch is building cars.
1/32 Anniversary prep continued with a test race running all three classes at the same time. The race was a success and we are all green lights for a 5 hour, 3 class, 5 year Anniversary race January 2016.
Keep working on your cars!
1/32 Anniversary race prep has begun. Andy is proving hard to beat. In his Q-Class, he still can't be touched. But there was a crack in the armor in the Stock Slot.it race. Andy was just one turn in the lead.
Bob and Paul had their own Q-Class smack-down racing the same cars in all three races. I think Bob finished on top... Dan is looking for a new car builder and Butch's cars are still under construction.
First Fall Race!
Summer racing is here:
In the ScaleAuto race, Danger Bob had ONE fast lap time in John's Z4, but spun the plastic pinion late in the race. Andy could not keep his guide flag attached. Jeff was coming on strong late in the race but it was too little too late. Pat just motored on till he got tangled in a wreck and then backed off to save his car for another day. Team Viper finished P1 & P2 just a few feet apart and proved invincible over all the Euro trash on the track.
In the Stock race, Team ZoMaxx was fined for not enough front end clearance and put to the back of the field. Giving Andy the win. Three cars had identical fast lap times.
In the Modified race, well lets just say there was a lot of carnage.
On more in the books!
Andy, Pat and Bob hogged the podium all night. Good racing boyz.
Some very close racing here!!!
In the ScaleAuto race everyone is right there. The race comes down to consistency. Pat with a P2 finish and Paul P3. Team Viper is still on top. Team Audi also had a P4 from Andy just one lap back from Paul.
The Modified race was this close! All on the same lap. There was some monkey business in the pits when ZoMaxx switched to Paul's slower car for two heats while Paul raced the faster car. Going into the last heat Paul was finished and ZoMaxx needed a few more laps to stay near the the top. He jumped back into his faster car and made up a few laps to finish with a three way tie of 182 laps. ZoMaxx and Paul get an * next to their names because of the monkey business.
In the Flexi race going into the last heat, Bob and ZoMaxx were on the same lap. Bob was 12" in the lead. Just a few laps in ZoMaxx cracked under the pressure and had an off giving Bob a half lap very comfortable lead. Mid heat Bob got taken out and they were back right next to each other. Bob then cracked and had another off. He made up the groups but tried to play the ice cream in an ice cream sandwich between Andy and ZoMaxx. This was not a good choice which lead to a third off for Bob. ZoMaxx dialed back to map2 to save fuel and cruised to the finish. Andy finished P3 with his new controller! Paul was sporting a new car color but the lower downforce body was giving him trouble. The training wheels are off now that we all are running similar GT1 bodies.
CraZy 8 Race is in the books! Lots of laughs and tears were had by all.
Thanks for a great afternoon of racing!
Thanks to Jeff for keeping us fed, and Andy and Pat for the treats!
The Cars raced:
The Winners, Jeff SHOULD have won 200 Grand, but I ate 100 Grand
The Stats:
* - illegal car
There were 2 tie races, and Jeff was on top both times!
Jeff P1 and Paul P2 in the BRM race:
Does it get any closer than this? Jeff P2 and ZoMaxx P3 in the ScaleAuto race:
Team Viper let one EuroTrash in between them and Team Audi was sucking major tail pipe. The Porsche Puppies just stayed home.
There were 3 tie races! Cars were just 1/2 a track apart!
Another FCR SmackDown is in the books! Welcome to new racer Kelly who had a good truck race with some good fast lap times. Look out he will be right there next race! After the last FCR SmackDown ZoMaxx smoked two motors, they since found a new motor builder. Fast times times show everyone was close but a better handling HardBody of ZoMaxx brought them back to the top spot. Jeff was not without his hard luck and smoked a motor in the last laps for the Truck race. Jeff had enough laps in the bank to finish P2! Nice racing Jeff. Andy finished P2 last time and moved to P3 this time just a few feet in front to Dan. Dan had a good Truck race but struggled in the HardBody race. Paul also struggled with his HardBody program, BUT crushed it with a P2 finish in the Truck race. That was enough to push Paul up to P5 overall. Bob finished P1 last time and was sitting P3 after the HardBody race. But a P7 finish in the Truck race leaves him P6 overall. Dave with an illegal chassis in the HardBody race left him in P4 with an ill handling car. Freeing up the chassis enabled him crushing the fast lap times in the Truck race, but it was too little too late leaving him a P7 finish overall.
3rd Place after 366 laps, Andy a few feet in front of Dan.
Our first ScaleAuto race is in the books. Pat with the help of Andy was king. He finished P1 in the B-Main and jumped into Andy's seat for the A-Main. Congrats Pat for finished P3 AND P1. Bob finished P2.
New brass pinions are on order and will be installed before the next race. Make sure you lock-tite ALL screws if you have not done so yet.
We were short one Audi, but all the other liveries were on track.
Team Porsche looks to be a formidable foe, but the power of the V10 Vipers will not go down without a fight.
Once Bavarian Motor Works get their uniforms, they just might be in the hunt.
Team Audi, well they need to find their missing driver.
Pat was ALSO P1 in the BRM race, followed by John! Nice going guys!
Dan was the master of Flexi trucks finishing P1. There was a tie for P2, but Jeff was 4' ahead. Nice racing guys.
FOUR Years of racing on the ZoMaxx is in the books!
The Podium:
BIG Congrats to Andy for his Win! He ran in first or second place all day. Andy took home $300,000 and his choice of all the cars! Andy took the Toyota which was the best handling car all day. By the end of the day it was one of the fastest cars on the track. Andy also has named our new cars class which is "Q Class."
Dark horse Pat finished P2. After the first two rounds thru the lands has was in fourth place, but still right there to capitalize on anyones misfortune. This race really came down to consistency and keeping your car in the lane. Pat did not have any of the best lap times of the day but he knows how to keep the car in the track. Congrats to Pat for winning $200,000 and choosing the Sauber-Mercedes which was also a great handling car with good top speed.
There was really a four way battle all day between Andy, Pat, Bob and ZoMaxx. If you look at the results you will see Danger Bob was up to first at the halfway point but he finished on the same lap as ZoMaxx only half a lap behind in P4. The orange lane car started out as one of the fastest top speed cars but was dropping off by the end of the day. The three remaining cars went into the hat and Bob chose the Jag.
Dan, Jeff and Paul battled it out in the mid pack. Dan finished P5 but his name did not come out of the hat to win a car. Sorry Dan! Paul finished P6 just one lap back of Dan! Now that's close racing even in the middle of the field! Paul's name came out of the hat to win a car and he took home the Lancia. This car had the most fast lap times all day but it did eat the crown gear mid race and needs another new crown gear.
Due to controller issues Jeff could not back up his two time winning streak going into this years Enduro. Even though Jeff had a lot of hard luck, his name came out of the hat for the last car and he took home then Mazda. It might need a new motor but we all know Jeff will be winning with this car soon.
John and Zoe teamed up for for a good showing to round out the field. They put down some fast lap times but the consistency was just not there. Better luck next time.

The goal to give racers digestive issues during the race failed and still allowed Andy and Pat to sit P1 and P2.
