Joseph said 'my son" named David...  The association of Emma's son, was naturally made by Brigham & Eliza to this statement... but, as is evidenced by the fact that Emma's "David" did not fullfill Joseph's prophesy, the obvious conclusion ...is that Joseph was speaking of his son,  ...not Emma's son.  Think about it for a moment.  The answer is obvious.

So... where would you hide a descendent of Joseph Smith, for 150+ years, so that "the Gentiles" will not find him?

1 August 1953, the US Congress passed House Concurrent Resolution 108 which called for the immediate termination of the Flathead, Klamath, Menominee, Potawatomi, and Turtle Mountain Chippewa, as well as all tribes in the states of California, New York, Florida, and Texas. Termination of a tribe meant the immediate withdrawal of all federal aid, services, and protection, as well as the end of reservations. A memo issued by the Department of the Interior on 21 January 1954 clarified that the reference to "Potawatomi" in the Resolution meant the Prairie Band of Potawatomi Nation, the Kickapoo, the Sac and Fox and the Iowa tribes in Kansas.

By the time of the removal of the Cherokee Indians in 1838, it was known as Konehetee, or "valley".  One of the most infamous periods in history, the removal of the Cherokee and the Trail of Tears, also impacted the valley. Fort Delaney, one of five forts in the area, was located about 16 miles (26 km) from the mouth of the Valley River. The road across Tatham Gap, directly north of Andrews, was built by the US Army to transport Cherokee from Fort Montgomery, which was located in what is now Robbinsville, to Fort Delaney and beyond.
