JST Genesis 9:15 - "And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, And I, behold, I will establish my covenant with you, which I made unto your father Enoch, concerning your seed after you."
Moses 8:12-13 - "Noah was four hundred and fifty years old, and begat Japheth; and forty-two years afterward he begat Shem of her who was the mother of Japheth, and when he was five hundred years old he begat Ham.
And Noah and his sons hearkened unto the Lord, and gave heed, and they were called the sons of God."
from the Historical Textbook and Atlas of Biblical Geography by Lyman Coleman.
"Now the sons of Noah were three, Shem and Japhet, and Ham, born one hundred years before the deluge.2 These first of all descended from the mountains into the plains, and fixed their habitation there; and persuaded others, who were greatly afraid of the lower grounds on account of the flood, and so were very loth to come down from the higher places, to venture to follow their examples. Now the plain, in which they first dwelt, was called Shinar." Book I, Chpt. 4 verse 1
-- Flavius Josephus of the Antiquities of the Jews
"And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven... And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded."
"...it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God. He was the grand-son of Ham, the son of Noah: a bold man, and of great strength of hand. He persuaded them not to ascribe it to God, as if it was through his means that they were happy; but to believe that it was their own courage which procured that happiness. He also gradually changed the government into tyranny; seeing no other way of turning men from the fear of God, but to bring them into a constant dependence on his own power. He also said, “He would be revenged on God, if he should have a mind to drown the world again: for that he would build a Tower too high for the waters to be able to reach; and that he would avenge himself on God for destroying their fore-fathers.”
---Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews, chpt 4. v.2
"The place wherein they built the Tower is now called Babylon: because of the confusion of that language which they readily understood before: for the Hebrews mean by the word Babel, Confusion.
Hestiæus mentions it, when he says thus, “Such of the Priests as were saved took the sacred vessels of Jupiter Enyalius, and came to Shinar of Babylonia.”
And the brother of Jared being a large and mighty man, and a man highly favored of the Lord,
Jared, his brother, said unto him: Cry unto the Lord, that he will not confound us...
Then Jared said unto his brother: Cry again unto the Lord, and it may be that he will turn away his anger from them who are our friends, that he confound not their language...
And it came to pass that Jared spake again unto his brother, saying: Go and inquire of the Lord whether he will drive us out of the land, and if he will drive us out of the land, cry unto him whither we shall go...
"... [and] when they had come down into the valley of Nimrod the Lord came down and talked with the brother of Jared; and he was in a cloud"... it came to pass that the Lord did bring Jared and his brethren forth even to that great sea which divideth the lands. And as they came to the sea they pitched their tents; and they called the name of the place Moriancumer;
"And it came to pass that the brother of Jared cried unto the Lord, saying: O Lord, I have performed the work which thou hast commanded me, and I have made the barges...
"behold, the Lord stretched forth his hand and touched the stones one by one with his finger. And the veil was taken from off the eyes of the brother of Jared, and he saw the finger of the Lord; and it was as the finger of a man... Wherefore, having this perfect knowledge of God, he could not be kept from within the veil; therefore he saw Jesus; and he did minister unto him."
3 And as I suppose that the first part of this record, which speaks concerning the creation of the world, and also of Adam, and an account from that time even to the great tower, and whatsoever things transpired among the children of men until that time, is had among the Jews—
4 Therefore I do not write those things which transpired from the days of Adam until that time; but they are had upon the plates; and whoso findeth them, the same will have power that he may get the full account.
-- Ether 1
"And it came to pass that the people desired of them that they should anoint one of their sons to be a king over them. And now behold, this was grievous unto them. And the brother of Jared said unto them: Surely this thing leadeth into captivity... But Jared said unto his brother: Suffer them that they may have a king. And therefore he said unto them: Choose ye out from among our sons a king, even whom ye will. And it came to pass that they chose even the firstborn of the brother of Jared; and his name was Pagag. And it came to pass that he refused and would not be their king. And the people would that his father should constrain him, but his father would not; and he commanded them that they should constrain no man to be their king.
And it came to pass that they chose all the brothers of Pagag, and they would not.
And it came to pass that neither would the sons of Jared, even all save it were one...
"...and raise up unto me of thy seed, and of the seed of thy brother, and they who shall go with thee, a great nation. And there shall be none greater than the nation which I will raise up unto me of thy seed, upon all the face of the earth.
-- Ether 1:43
"... [Joseph Smith] particularly referred to the idea that the dominion of Japheth is extended over the whole earth and showed that it was destined to be transferred into the hands of Shem [Abraham] and his posterity..."

"The evidence of smelting or alloying that has been found is subject to some dispute... Artifacts from some of these sites have been dated from 4000 to 1000 BCE. Furthermore, some archaeologists find artifactual and structural evidence of casting by Hopewellian and Mississippian peoples to be demonstrated in the archaeological record..." -
Even after J.S. Wakefield's sensational paper "Shipping of Michigan Copper across the Atlantic in the Bronze Age (Isle Royale and Keweenaw Peninsula, c. 2400BC-1200 BC)" [https://grahamhancock.com/wakefieldjs1/] - where we have both chemical analysis and written shipping records/drawing and historical accounts of copper ingots of a particular shape being traded in the Mediterranean sea...
Archeologists have actually recovered Michigan copper ingots from a shipwreck...

Japheth (Firstborn son) did NOT loose
the "birth right" to build ZION,
...but, his descendants did...
Ether (Firstborn son, rightful King) is commanded by God to
offer the kingdon to Coriantimur,
Which included the "birth right" to build ZION,
...but Coriantimur REFUSED Ether's offer...
and Ether is shown that Japheth's "birth right" will pass
to Lehi's descendants - (Israel/Joseph/Manasseh)
"Ether saw the days of Christ, and he spake concerning a New Jerusalem upon this land. And he spake also concerning the House of Israel, and the Jerusalem from whence Lehi should come—after it should be destroyed it should be built up again, a holy city unto the Lord; wherefore, it could not be a new Jerusalem for it had been in a time of old; but it should be built up again, and become a holy city of the Lord; and it should be built unto the house of Israel — And that a New Jerusalem should be built up upon this land, unto the remnant of the seed of Joseph..."

Nephi, who had seen the future destruction of his people, REFUSES to allow his people to have a king... (2 Nephi 5:18)
But later, his brother casually mentions that Nephi "anointed a man" to be their king... (Jacob 1:9)
