Widely accepted in Galt, the church of Calistria operates with near-total autonomy in a district that is both next to the seat of power, and set up to be immolated by rioters. The great, ancient stones of the old city wall that runs from the river around the curve of the district's eastern and northern border remain in place, providing some amount of buffer against disturbances outside the district, but also very effectively keeping the Calistrian influence penned.
