The Registers commence in 1559 but with a gap between 1637 - 1661 but then run until 1989.
Winterbourne Abbas and Winterbourne Steepleton shared one parish register in the earliest days. Separate Winterbourne Abbas registers began in 1754 for marriages, 1791 for baptisms and burials.
Banns run from 1823 to 1951. (see below)
