Traveling the globe I have had numerous opportunities to try many diverse local foods. For the most part, I enjoyed the majority of my meals but there were times when I had to question my manners and simply say no. I learned much about many new spices and ingredients some cooks used in their menus and have in some cases brought back these recipes for use in my kitchen. Although not as good as the originals, most of the time mine turn out pretty tasty. Those recipes bring memories of dining with people from all walks of life in many parts of the world. In each instance a unique opportunity and new culinary experience.
I compiled this page several years after some of these photos were taken. Frankly, I had forgotten what some of these foods were. I have done my best to identify as many as I can but any help would be appreciated! Email me if you can help!
