UF Internal Medicine Residency Program initiated a formalized Wellness Curriculum in September 2017. This curriculum is a longitudinal experience with didactic sessions during Noon Conference, Morning Report, and focused workshops integrated into the ambulatory rotation.
Residents on the Ambulatory Rotation will participate in monthly Resiliency Workshops. The topics of each workshop vary depending on the presenter, however, overall consist of the following themes/topics:
Time Management and Work-Life Integration, including mindfulness exercises
Narrative Medicine around themes such as health policy/advocacy, social justice, SDH, professionalism, etc.
We also provide longitudinal Resiliency Morning Reports throughout the year, which consist of various topics including Inbox Management, Empathy through Art, Intuitive Eating, Sleep Hygiene, and more. Our speakers vary from UF Faculty to community partners and provide tips and tools for building resiliency.
