The Objectives of this curriculum are as follows:
Establish, encourage and cultivate an environment of self-directed analysis and intelligence regarding the practice of evidenced-based medicine as it pertains to diagnosis, testing, treatment, and research.
Foster collaboration and teamwork using team-based methods to increase content retention and understanding.
Not only educate medical residents in the basics of research study ethics, design, analysis, and interpretation but also identify early on those with a passion for clinical, translational and basic science research so that mentorship can be established.
