So if you are in the suburbs you have to pay for this app! If you are in the city you can view CTA routes for free. If you need Pace routes you are screwed!!!!!
smiley face - Wow, I think your name should be "frowny" with that attitude ...
Allow me to explain. CTA routes are available for free because the CTA itself provides the data for free.
There is no equivalent bus or train tracker system for Pace or Metra. This app's support for those two transit systems is completely unofficial and it literally costs me money (and time) to provide support for them.
Unfortunately, that means I have to charge an extravagant three hundred cents (gasp!) in order to make sure I don't lose money on this hobby app.
I'm a greedy bastard, I know. Can you imagine? Wanting compensation for my work? Despicable! What can I say? I just love to splurge on crazy things like "food" and "rent"!
The good news is that you are not "screwed!!!!!!" (side-note: a little dramatic, aren't we?) You don't have to pay for anything! No one is forcing you! (You understand that, right?)
So you can simply not buy the app.
Or you can pay the ... THREE ... DOLLARS ... for the functionality that you apparently want so bad you came to complain about it!
I know that the idea of paying for a service you want is a mind-blowing concept in this socialist country of ours, but try to be open-minded here, mmmkay?
Or you can visit the Pace website since they provide predictions there - it's just not as quick and convenient as using this awesome app. ;)
Thanks for being level-headed and reasonable!
My Rating:
So if you are in the suburbs you don't have to pay for this app! If you are in the city you can view CTA routes for free since the CTA provides them for free. If you need Pace routes it's only three dollars!!!!!
