The ``Mini Workshop on Topology and Algebra'' is at its third edition in 2025 and is characterized to be restricted to a limited number of participants.
These are mostly members of the ``International Research Group in Topology, Algebra and Dynamical Systems'' (IRGTADS), based at University of Camerino (Italy), University of Cape Town (South Africa), University of the Western Cape (South Africa) and Federal University of Technology Akure (Nigeria).
The previous editions were organized in 2019 and 2023 and can be found at the following links:

The scientific board of MWTA2025 is the following:
Scientific board of MWTA 2025
Yanga Bavuma (University of Cape Town, Cape Town, South Africa)
Francesco Belardo (University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy)
Alfredo Donno (University Niccolo' Cusano, Rome, Italy)
Francesco G. Russo (University of Camerino, Camerino, Italy)
There was more emphasis on topological group theory and algebra in 2019, while in 2023 (and in the current edition) we focus more on spectral graph theory, combinatorics, quantum information theory and topology. In fact MWTA2023 (and MWTA2025 as well) originate from the continuous scientific interactions between the Italian research team and the South African research team who are involved in ISARP 2018-2020 (and now in ISARP 2023-2025).
Since long time South Africa and Italy have bilateral partnership in science and technology. The Italy-South Africa Research Programme (ISARP) is implemented and funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the National Research Foundation of the South African Department of Science and Innovation within the framework of the Scientific and Technological Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Italy and the Government of the Republic of South Africa, signed in Pretoria on 15 January, 1998 and entered into force on 19 February, 2000.
ISARP aims to facilitate the development of sustainable institutional links between the two countries, promoting collaborations and engagements for new links between South Africa and Italy. Within the edition ISARP 2023-2025, the following P.I.s and institutions were involved via the project
`` Spectral and Algebraic Methods in Quantum Information Theory''
Italian research team: Principal Investigator: Prof. Francesco Belardo
University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy
South African research team: Principal Investigators: Prof. Francesco G. Russo and Dr. Yanga Bavuma
University of Cape Town, Cape Town, South Africa
Scientific meetings, exchange of expertise, mobility schemes and formation of young academics have been realized since 2018 from above P.I.s, see below

The support from ISARP led to the formation of an international research group and of a network of researchers, working in graph theory and topological group theory between Italy, South Africa and Nigeria. Most of these researchers are now members of IRGTADS and their scientific profiles are described here. It should be also mentioned that IRGTADS seminars are a weekly appointment to discuss recent topics on topology and its applications, see details here. And topics of combinatorics and spectral graph theory are becoming very frequent among the IRGTADS seminars of the last years. MWTA2025 aims to continue the fruitful collaborations, which have begun with ISARP almost 8 years ago and led to the formation of a solid research network between the two countries.
