The following words below you will take a short quiz on Thursday, January 19th. Each week you will have new words to go along with the book we are reading. Remember to study EVERY night for homework. Good luck! J

2. Mahatma- noun- (especially in India) a person who is held in the highest esteem for wisdom and saintliness.

3. fast(ing)- verb- to abstain from all food. (stop)

4. embrace- verb-to take or receive gladly or eagerly; accept willingly: to embrace an idea.

5. esteem- verb- to regard highly or favorably; regard with respect or admiration.
