influential people unit of study for Social Studies and Reading.

The following words below you will take a short quiz on Thursday,

February 9th, Each week you will have new words to go along with

the book we are reading. Remember to study EVERY night for

1. spectacle- noun -something showy; exhibition.

2. harsh--adjective- grim or unpleasantly severe; stern or cruel.

3. proclaim- verb- to indicate or make known publicly or openly.

4. panic – noun- an instance, outbreak, or period of such fear.

5. refusal - verb (refuse) - to decline to give; deny.

6. deny- verb- disagree, renounce, decline.
