Dynamics Inc., a Pittsburgh start-up, unveiled technology that will make it much harder for thieves to steal credit or debit card information. Engineers there have devised a method for embedding electronics under a card's magnetic stripe, making the information a card reader picks up variable. The account number on the front and the data in the stripe necessary for a successful swipe is accessible only when the authorized user inputs a code onto the face of the card.
