Will telepresence robots eventually take people’s places at work, whether we like it or not? For a week, a robot roamed IEEE Spectrum’s office while editor Erico Guizzo sat in his pajamas at home. From a laptop he could steer the robot, peer through its cameras, and talk to his colleagues.
