Making electronics would be so much simpler if you could toss a bunch of molecular building blocks into a pot, walk away, and then come back to find
that they had assembled themselves according to your instructions. That might just be the future of electronics, say researchers at the University of Nottingham,
in England, who induced the building of a 3-D molecular structure by putting buckyballs and other molecules on a surface. One of the researchers likened
what occurred next to tossing a pile of bricks in the air and watching as they came down in the form of a house. The buckyballs served as anchors around
which the other molecules spontaneously organized themselves.
