This window represents both the Old and New Testaments. The Old Testament is represented on the left with the fire used to immolate a sacrifice, and the manna (or bread) available to the Hebrew People on their journey to the Promised Land (cf. Exodus 16:13-15). The New Testament is represented on the right with wheat (symbolizing the bread of the Eucharist) and water (symbolizing the renewing wash of Baptism). A rainbow connects both sides, reminding us that God is faithful to His promises (cf. Genesis 9:12-17). The plan of salvation, which began with Abraham and his descendants, the Hebrew People, finds fulfillment in the coming of God as Man and the founding of the Church.
