Troop 504 will drive to Beaumont Scout Reservation Friday evening where we will be staying in a Lodge. Sap Camp Program will be held Saturday during the day. Meet at BSR Friday @ 6:30pm. Eat dinner before arriving at BSR. Parents will be notified on Saturday via text of Sunday pick-up time at BSR. Official Sap Camp Information DO NOT register yourself online. Scouts will cook hot breakfast, spend most of the day participating in the Sap Camp program and will cook hot dinner at the Lodge. Sap Camp participants will learn about the history and process of making maple syrup from Beaumont’s very own sugarbush. They will also tour a local maple syrup production facility. Scouts will be outdoors most of the day and should wear appropriate clothing to stay warm and dry regardless of the weather (Wear boots – no tennis shoes). Scouts should bring an extra set of clothing including extra set of dry sleepwear for Saturday evening.
Parents will be notified on Saturday via text of Sunday pick-up time at BSR. Otherwise Parents may make carpooling arrangements with families attending the weekend at BSR.
