All Scouts will meet at the Camp Manatoc Admin Building at 6:00 pm on Friday and should eat dinner prior to arrival. Check-out time Sunday morning will be texted to Parents prior to Sunday morning. Parents of new scouts are encouraged to camp overnight to learn more about our troop and the expectations for the scouts. Orientation for new parents will occur on Saturday morning. All meals will be provided. Scouts will sleep in tents provided by the troop. We will be staying at Legion Lodge which is available for the parents wishing to stay over night. New Scouts should bring outerwear appropriate for the weather, mess kit, Scout Handbook, sleeping bag, camping mattress, pillow, change of clothing, rain gear, water bottle, flashlight, pocket knife and Class A Uniform.
The objective is for each new Scout to earn the Tot’n Chip (Knife Usage/Safety), Firemen’s Chip (Fire Building/Safety), complete the requirements for the Scout patch, and begin working on the requirements for Tenderfoot rank.
