Nungish

Nungish is an important node within a vast network of Eastern Sino-Tibetan languages, and is hence a key witness to the formation of the Eastern Sino-Tibetan linkage. Lexical similarities are shared with Karenic and Gong to the south, rGyalrong, Burmo-Qiangic, and Tujia to the east, and Idu-Taraon, Kho-Bwa, and Hrusish to the west.

Proto-Nungish is currently being reconstructed by Nathan Straub (2018).
