Bevestiging validatie resultaten voor Serious Games (X_405097)
Beste docent,

email: 05/06/2015 : RE: SG --grade(s)
to answer some questions:
Frank Licht
Thank you very much for the extremely fast grading. At the UvA, I'm not used to this, haha. However I did log in to my VUnet (http://vunet.vu.nl) and found no grade yet. My VU registration number is 2566152. Could you please indicate if the grades should already be available and if everything went okay with registering my grade to my number?
You will learn the result(s) from VUNET, but it may take some time for the grades to become visible.
To ensure you, yes I did validate the results, but as I indicated I am new to this procedure, and my experience with VU admin issues, it's slow, slow, slow ...
Onur Akgun
Which credentials do I use?
I have used my gmail during this course, but do I have to log in using my VuNet-ID?
Neither one of them works. This is the screen that appears (screenshot)
when you click on grade(s) indeed you get a login screen, and the grades are there,
but this is for my private admin, you must get your grade from vunet!
I hope this clarifies these issues.
email: 05/06/2015 : SG --grade(s)
I finalized the first round of grading, and all in all I was quite satisfied with the work and thoughts
you have produced in this period, and as a consequence, I think, in giving the grades I have been quite generous ...
for those who registered for grading but did not pass, a brief indication of the reason is given in:
http://www.cs.vu.nl/~eliens/sg/participant.html
and if you want to check whether you are graded, consult: http://record.eliens.net/sg/monitor/grade.php
and, NO, I will not give out any actual grade by email.
However, I have submitted the grades using the new online facility at vunet, and I hope I made no mistakes,
but notify me ASAP in case you spot any error ...
If, after learning, your final grade, you are not satisfied, and want to discuss the possibility of a lower grade
or higher grade, then contact me by email, and we than will either have a meeting or sort things out by email.
Finally, for those not yet graded, with no indication of [R] (which means registered for grading) sent me an email
before the final deadline of 30 june, see: https://sites.google.com/site/seriousvu12/grading-requirement-s
so far, thanks again for your participation, and do not hesitate (in case you did not yet do so)
to provide feedback on the course, using http://www.cs.vu.nl/~eliens/serious/feedback.html
email: 23/05/2015 : SG -- reminder(s)
so far there are 13/38 review(s): http://www.cs.vu.nl/~eliens/serious/results.html#summary
and all in all there are 5 feedback/evaluation(s): http://www.cs.vu.nl/~eliens/course/sg/monitor/eval.php
the reviews are obligatory, and feedback (naturally) is optional!
So, I repeat: http://www.cs.vu.nl/~eliens/create/@s5-repeat-portfolio.html
email: 13/05/2015 : SG -- grading / feedback

as listed in: https://sites.google.com/site/seriousvu12/student-contribution-s/final-project-s
Please indicate whether your project is ready for grading,
a request I will (no doubt) repeat tomorrow!
To submit your peer reviews, see https://sites.google.com/site/seriousvu12/peer-review-s

Your reviews must be submitted before the grading deadline of 30 may 2015,

tomorrow we will have the remaining concept presentations,
and (also for those who presented last week): please update
https://sites.google.com/site/seriousvu12/student-contribution-s/final-project-s
ASAP!
and have a look at:
https://sites.google.com/site/seriousvu12/hall-of-f-sh-ame
and
https://sites.google.com/site/seriousvu12/student-contribution-s/resource-s
and

to get some ideas for your essay
and tomorrow, be in time!
email: 20/04/2015 : SG -- status (portfolio/utopia/projects)
I had a first round to look at your portfolios and in particular your utopia contribution,
consequently I updated yourr status, accessible via:
http://www.cs.vu.nl/~eliens/sg/participant.html
Some general remarks:
-- many portfolios are still incomplete, provide an update as soon as possible
-- eventhough a basic layout is OK, please provide some structure to give easy access to your assignments
-- some already provided a links to their mood board, to be clear the result of the workshop game design suffices for that
-- please include the concept of your final project, as well a link to the project portfolio in
your individual portfolios, see https://sites.google.com/site/seriousvu12/home/announcement-s
-- and for clarity, essays are individual, but the deadline for that is still some weeks away
There are now five final projects:
with interesting and adequate titles, and (very well) the beginning of a project portfolio.
However this covers only 15/37 people, so for the rest: speed up and make your final project available in:
https://sites.google.com/site/seriousvu12/student-contribution-s/final-project-s
Coming wednesday we will have the concept presentation, of a duration of say max 5 minutes,
prepare tour presentation, and if you need more time: let me know!
Finally, I enjoyed reading the utopia descriptions, there was a great variety in approach and style,
but all had something to contribute. I think some ideology now and then does not harm your academic level!
see you wednesday, and be in time.
...
PS I updated the https://sites.google.com/site/seriousvu12/hall-of-f-sh-ame
now with an [f] nomination for Eefje Op den Buijsch -- nice and timely portfolio, with interesting personal and additional material!
email: 14/04/2015 09:53 : SG -- groups / url
when you formed a group please provide an entry in
https://sites.google.com/site/seriousvu12/student-contribution-s/final-project-s
as indicated.
Still 9 students did not yet provide a URL for there portfolio:
For obvious reasons these students are (also) listed in the hall of (f/sh)ame:
https://sites.google.com/site/seriousvu12/hall-of-f-sh-ame
please provide a URL asap!
