When working with Special Education students; one understands each student may have a different level of cognitive development and material should be presented in a format students can understand. When developing classroom lessons, I kept in mind that students should be engaged in the lesson through reading, writing, discussing and/or answer questions posed to them. I believe with this in mind; study guides achieved this objective and gave students a resource for review. This information will be used at home on homework and during review session in the classroom when preparing for quizzes and examinations. I believe creation of guided notes helps the student (s) as well as engages students in the activity and presents material in a visual manner for student understanding.
