------
There are fully funded PhD positions in bioinformatics available at the International Max Planck Research School for Computational Biology and Scientific Computing (IMPRS-CBSC) in Berlin, Germany, starting September 2012.
We invite applications for a 3-year PhD program aimed at students holding a master's or comparable degree in bioinformatics, mathematics, physics, computer science, or biology. Students with a degree in mathematics, computer science and physics are expected to have some knowledge of the biological background, whereas students with a degree in biology should be able to demonstrate profound knowledge in mathematics and computer science.
The degree should be awarded before August 2012.
Areas of research include mathematical modelling, evolutionary genomics, computational systems biology, proteomics. For further details visit our website www.imprs-cbsc.mpg.de or email kelleher@molgen.mpg.de. Please apply online before March 2nd, 2012.
The IMPRS-CBSC is a joint program between the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, the Freie Universität Berlin and the CAS-MPG Partner Institute for Computational Biology, Shanghai. The program language is English. International applicants and women are especially encouraged to apply.
