North Auckland Line re-opens today

The North Auckland Line has been closed since June 2020 by the $110 million rail project, which involved replacing five bridges and lowering tracks in 13 tunnels.

The upgrade allows the rail line to take high-cube containers, which are commonly used in international shipping.
