Grading Policies

All INTA and Language classes must be taken for a letter grade of “C” or better.

Pass/Fail guidelines.  For GT Catalog information, visit: http://www.catalog.gatech.edu/rules/10/

INTA/IAML: GT Core classes, Cluster electives and Free electives may be taken pass/fail, if the department offers the class on a pass/fail basis.

EIA: Only Free electives may be taken pass/fail, if the department offers the class on a pass/fail basis.

Nunn School students generally start with 8 hours of pass/fail to be used toward degree requirements.  This is different from the GT allowance of 9 hours because our 1-hour required Careers in International Affairs course (INTA 2001) is graded on a pass/fail basis.

The number of hours of pass/fail a given student may use is determined by the number of in-residence hours earned at Georgia Tech.  Generally speaking, students with lots of AP/IB or non-resident transfer credit will have less hours of pass/fail available.

Please speak to your advisor to determine how many hours of pass/fail you may use toward your degree.

Changing the Grade Mode

Grade mode changes are allowed online via OSCAR during registration. After phase II registration closes, a form must completed and submitted to the Office of the Registrar by Drop Day.
