GT policy states: No student may be considered a candidate for a degree unless the final 36 credit hours required for the degree are earned in residence at GT and approved by the major. Since credits earned on GT programs abroad are considered GT credit hours in residence, you can go abroad on a GT Study Abroad Program during your final 36 credit hours at GT. Please note that studying abroad on an exchange program your final semester may delay graduation if transfer credit is not received by GT in time for degree processing.
Transfer credit from non-GT programs and other institutions (ex., summer session at a local college/university) will not be accepted if you are within 36 hours of graduation without prior approval.
