The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs implemented this communications strategy to help students understand the various forms we are using and how you can make sure that you get the information pertinent to you.
Our goal is to make sure that you know about everything you need to while not being overloaded with information when you do not want it. In the hope of meeting that goal, we will be using the following forms of communication below. Next to each method is listed what it will be used for.
Canvas Resources: This is the repository for all information pertaining to your degree program. In MODULES you will find a wealth of information about degree requirements, registration, awards, career planning, etc. Please make a habit of checking the resources available to you in this section for answers to many of your questions. http://gatech.instructure.com
Advising Blog: The blog provides timely announcements and advice about fellowships/scholarships, conferences, info sessions and career fairs, speaker series, and other events. We also periodically highlight the accomplishments of your fellow peers! You are encouraged to add this site as an RSS Feed to keep up with the latest events going on at the Nunn School. http://intaadvising.gatech.edu/
Instagram: This is a resource where you can find career opportunities, events, news, and announcements to help students succeed. This page will have announcements from external groups and other less-time sensitive information. https://www.instagram.com/inta_advising_gt/
Email: Time-sensitive or important advising information will still be sent via email. The email list will continue to be limited in use to Nunn School information. Information from outside groups will be posted to Instagram or the Advising Blog, as appropriate.
Weekly Digest: The Weekly Digest highlights current job openings, recent internship postings, upcoming events, and approaching deadlines that are relevant to you, as a student in the Nunn School. The Weekly Digest is sent every Thursday.
